I used to really enjoy this podcast and would recommend it to others constantly. I am not sure what has changed but most of the content posted are reuploads with little to no additional commentary.
Love you ladies thank you for everything you do and your interesting insight! Listening to you all the way from Sydney Australia
It’s just the lazy way to say- we got nothing so listen to this rerun and we’ll add a not important at all fact to the end and call it new! Come on! You’re so much better than this. Stop calling it in to the pod that MADE you while promoting other projects. The pod is slipping. Pay more attention to it like you used to!
My bachelors degree was in criminal justice, but I ended up getting my mastered in applied behavior analysis, so I don’t have much contact with the crime world anymore and I really miss it. Amy, don’t listen to the haters, your voice and accent are adorable and I love listening to you talk things, however the hell you want to as long as you’re not being ignorant. Pronunciation is tough! You guys do such a great job that is the least of our concerns. I also like the banter between you guys. Somet... more
I loved this podcast when it started and appreciated the expertise and discussion that these criminology professors brought to the table. It’s also nice that they are so eager to hear from their fans. Two pieces of feedback, though: one is that “reconsidered” episodes aren’t necessary. Two criminology professors analyze high-profile female-focused cases through a criminology lens, pairing narrative storytelling with theories about victimology, prosecutorial power, and the legal system. Episodes cover a wide range of cases—from intimate partner violence to white-collar crime and missing persons—while weaving in updates, socio-legal context, and advocacy work. A standout aspect is the blend of rigorous academic perspectives with accessible storytelling, plus recurring emphasis on victims, justice, and reform. The show's clear ethical stance and guest-less, expert analyses make complex legal and criminological concepts approachable for educated listeners who enjoy deep dives with a feminist lens.
