Allison Fischer has a thoughtful and accessible way of deconstructing difficult topics and connecting cultural and psychological dots. Please don't shorten your podcasts; I love your ideas and value your personal anecdotes. P.S. RPCV - Kyrgyzstan here. ❤️
I don’t find all of her advice or podcasts particularly of interest - all the feminine archetypes and the like are not of interest. But she has been there and I find myself coming back to this podcast often because it is so refreshing to hear someone who has had an experience similar to mine and is dealing with it in a thoughtful and honest way.
I wish she got to the point and explained the topic right away instead of spending a lot of time talking about herself and her experiences. Which I understand, is necessary, but maybe explain it along side the topics. For example, in the archetype episode, it started explaining which ones she related to and which ones she was, instead of explaining them first.
Host sounds very nice and I really want to listen to her podcast, but she says “Um” way too much. It’s very distracting and very annoying to constantly be hearing someone say “Ummm, ummmmmm, ummmmm” between each sentence and sometimes right in the middle of her sentence. She needs to take into consideration that her voice is everything in a podcast and all the “ummmm” taken out would very much improve it
