  • Great Content, but Anti-DA Bias is Palpable

First, I'm not new to studying attachment theory, so I always appreciate finding some experts who can present topics in new ways. I definitely have gotten some valuable information from this podcast. I do have to call something specific out, though. When the hosts describe the FA or SP types, there is always a long parenthetical note about how awesome they are and how great their superpowers are. It speaks loudly that there is no such footnote for the DA type, and that the usual advice is “run w... more

  • $$ podcast

There are some good topics but there’s a bunch of product placement. I listened to the podcast over finances and it made me want to go on an Alaskan cruise, but sheets I really didn’t need, and join Rent the runway. You had a guest speaker, who’s a financial guru and he could barely get any words in. I would have liked to hear his expertise more. I like your content but I think there should be more content and less babble. Spoken from a place of love. 🩷

    cons:

    1. so many adverts

    2. doesn’t dive deep enough into understanding the issues and resolving them emotionally/psychologically

    3. more religiosity than evidence based (scientific) studies (ie not balanced)

    4. product placements

    5. so many commercials

    6. pop psychology

    7. commercials galore

    8. advice are no... more

  • It’s okay

Way too much “psycho-babbling” for an hour. Co-host likes to supplement the entire conversation with “mmm hmm”, “right”, “yea” etc., so much to the point it’s all I hear when the “Love Doc” is talking.

  • Great work!

I love your guys stuff; the podcast with the guest was so good and so hard when you both were trying to moderate. I love the co host, maybe these interviews there should be only 1 person conversing. Keep up the great work!!

Q: Logistically speaking, if someone is in a marriage and they're having finance issues, what would, and I know you're not a counselor, but you sort of are, you know, you're a financial counselor. Where would you tell them to start?
People need to look at behaviors around finances and communicate about responsibilities in the relationship. It's essential to establish a framework for providing for one another.
Episode 9, Season 2: "Your Burning Questions Answered – Straight from Our Private Community"
Q: When it comes to dorsal vagal shutdown, is this something that commonly happens to DAs or FAs or both?
It can happen to both, but DAs live there a lot and can stay there much longer than FAs.
Episode 9, Season 2: "Your Burning Questions Answered – Straight from Our Private Community"
Q: Is it common for a DA to have narcissistic characteristics?
I wouldn't say it's common, no. Most DAs are very kind and have good intentions.
Episode 9, Season 2: "Your Burning Questions Answered – Straight from Our Private Community"
Q: How can I ask him what he wants without scaring him off?
You should not be worried about scaring him off. If you're confused, that's a red flag.

Q: Where does the reform in family courts begin?
Reform should begin with implementing judicial accountability and possibly jury trials for custody cases to ensure transparency and fairness.
