You know that feeling of wanting to burn everything to the ground and start over? I like to call that Big Black Trash Bag Energy, and today, I want to share three small steps to help you identify what that energy is really saying. Then we’ll talk abo... more
I could talk about meals my entire life and never run out of things to say. There are so many decisions, and things like seasons, budgets, and dietary restrictions impact those decisions. It just never ends. You’ll be feeding yourself and maybe othe... more
Today is a bonus episode where we’re resurrecting an old episode that feels like a good thing to listen to right now. The Seven Kinds of Rest and How to Know Which One You Need is one of those episodes we didn’t expect to become a classic, but it kin... more

Very American-centric and not very accessible to listeners who live outside of the United States. I had been misled to think the podcasts would include life hacks accessible to anyone, but many of her recommendations include very specific brands and stores. If you live in a country where these stores are not available (Trader Joe's for example), the recommendations are not accessible, and the podcast actually feels non-inclusive of listeners who do not live in the United States.
I love Kendra, but sadly I had to unfollow when the podcast/newsletter got too political. I will miss my Monday listens.
I look forward to seeing a new episode on Mondays, so I can listen while I run errands. Kendra discusses a lot home management topics (as well as other things). I appreciate the insight as a SAHM. I don’t need to agree or relate to everything to enjoy her perspective. The entire collection of episodes and quality/thoughtfulness that is put into them is definitely worth five stars.
In 2025 I took a year off from the podcast app just to be present to those in my real life and build community. It was exactly what I needed.
This week was my first week listening to your podcast again, and I looked for a title that I thought would fit something I needed. The chores for normals was really helpful. But it was the call back to episode 427 regarding what to do when we feel
overwhelmed that really spoke to me. Making use of the Lazy Genius Principles, something so practical, that ... more
I keep coming back to Kendra’s podcast and books over and over again. I think there are similar messages out there but the way she puts it in the frame work of being a genius about what matters and lazy about what doesn’t is the best I have found. Thank you Kendra and team for all you do, it has blessed and encouraged me greatly 🩷✨

A practical, systems-focused show that helps listeners be intentional about what matters and cut through daily overwhelm with simple, repeatable routines. Episodes routinely explore topics like meal planning, rest, goal setting, organization, and personal growth, all framed around the core idea of choosing what matters and being lazy about what doesn't. Listeners tend to value compassionate, actionable guidance, with frequent emphasis on small, sustainable shifts (like 2–20 minute daily tasks or planning basics) that fit real life. A standout aspect is the host's blend of framework-driven advice with personal storytelling, making it helpful for busy professionals, parents, and anyone seeking calmer productivity without burnout.
