Solar Streetlights Aren’t About Cheap Power. They’re About Resilience, Uptime, and Infrastructure Cost
Q: What advice would you give about the future of off-grid solar street lighting becoming the norm?
Policy helps but the superior product and cost-effectiveness will win in the long run; Streetleaf aims to be the standard by delivering reliable, easy-to-install, low-maintenance solar streetlights that outperform traditional, grid-connected options.

Q: How do your lights perform in severe weather like hurricanes?
They are engineered to meet very high wind codes (up to 160-180 mph) and have evolved from a 5% failure rate during Hurricane Irma to well under 1% in later storms due to design tweaks and remote monitoring.
Solar Streetlights Aren’t About Cheap Power. They’re About Resilience, Uptime, and Infrastructure Cost
Q: Who are you selling to and why is solar street lighting attractive to them?
Customers are typically new developments and HOAs where trenching and grid connection are costly or time-consuming; solar streetlights reduce upfront infrastructure work and offer maintenance and performance advantages, especially when a utility-based model is expensive or unreliable.
