  • Great training, volume could do with adjusting

The training is great, and if more people took it, we would have a lot more accomplished on climate. I wish they would increase the volume a bit to bring it on par with other podcasts.

August 2026 National Monthly Meeting | Flannery Winchester | Citizens Climate Lobby
Q: What lessons from the past decade of carbon pricing do you think we can carry forward into current policy design?
Lessons emphasize policy durability, building broad coalitions, and making pricing persistent so that households and institutions respond consistently to a lasting incentive.
Tyson Bertone-Riggs | June 2026 National Monthly Meeting | Citizens Climate Lobby
Q: How should volunteers respond to concerns from environmental groups about FOFA and the potential for increased logging?
Acknowledge valid concerns, emphasize FOFA as a collaborative, science-driven approach, and distinguish overall land-management policy from FOFA; stress the urgency of action and the broader goal of resilience rather than endorsing logging as the sole solution.
Tyson Bertone-Riggs | June 2026 National Monthly Meeting | Citizens Climate Lobby
Q: What are the greatest challenges faced when dealing with wildfires with changing global weather patterns, and how does FOFA address them?
Wildfire behavior is becoming more intense due to climate change and land management practices; FOFA aims to accelerate planning, expand community protection and home hardening, and establish a science-backed wildfire intelligence center to improve forecasting and mitigation.
Tyson Bertone-Riggs | June 2026 National Monthly Meeting | Citizens Climate Lobby
Q: Do you have any advice for CCL volunteers about how they can build relationships with partners and incorporate them into their lobbying to build undeniable support for climate policies?
Focus on coalitional work at any scale, be open to conversations, seek common ground, and use trusted messengers from diverse backgrounds to reach different decision-makers; emphasize pragmatic collaboration over partisan debates and highlight the urgency to act now.
Shane Londagin | May 2026 National Monthly Meeting | Citizens Climate Lobby
Q: Can you tell us just a little bit more about what it is that you do in Senator Hickenlooper's office?
I'm a transmission planner and former construction project manager by trade, bringing transmission and grid expertise to the Senate to push for broad, bipartisan updates to the energy infrastructure and to ensure projects are developed with local communities in mind.
