If you watched Apodaca's interrogation where all the texts from that night are read, he waffles the whole time and spends just as much if not more time concocting scenarios for her to back out of it than encouraging her. I had to reread the description for this podcast after I started listening to my first episode.
I thought for sure this was meant to be a true crime pod for children... I'm not joking. The host reads her script as if she's in a classroom, reading a story to a group of 6 year olds. 🤦♀️
Good luck to her, but I'm out.
CJ is doing such important work with Rainbow Crimes. The storytelling is respectful, well-researched, and handled with genuine care. If you care about representation in true crime and want to hear stories that matter, this podcast is essential listening.
CJ does an amazing job of showing you both crimes against and crimes committed by the LGBTQ community. She does famous cases and lesser known ones, cases in the US and international cases. She is respectful to the victims and takes the extra steps to get her facts right...and she never, ever...celebrates the perpetrator. What a great true crime listen.
Love the style that you imprint on each case.
