I am confused by the rude comments directed toward Scott. I think both hosts create a balance to the episodes, and I really appreciate Scott's focus on holding investigators/systems accountable for their moral failings. A lot of podcasts seem to avoid this kind of dialogue, so I find it refreshing.
Shocked to hear the Scott hate …. Ignore them Scott ! So rude. I think this is perfect so glad I found you guys
I am not against mentally handicapped individuals at all but the podcast ladies slow brother’s comments are juvenile. I think her brother’s name is Scott. She should host the show solo.
The presenters are thoughtful and the content is always interesting. Also, thank you so much for providing content warnings about animal harm. I wish more podcasts would do this.
Leah’s specialist knowledge drawn from her experience as a crime analyst together with her natural talents as a storyteller set this true crime podcast out from the rest. Each tragic story is meticulously researched yet told with compassion and intelligence. One of only a handful of US true crime podcasts that doesn’t grate too painfully on UK ears.

Episodes typically thread through a timeline of events, discuss investigative twists, police work, and the evolving role of DNA and forensics, while highlighting how local reporting, community tips, and federal or state agencies interact in the pursuit of answers. Noteworthy are the hosts' backgrounds in crime analysis and EMS, which shape thoughtful, respectful storytelling that aims to inform and empower listeners to contribute tips. A distinctive angle is the emphasis on cases that haven't received wide national attention, paired with careful context and practical takeaways for listeners and potential tipsters alike.... more
