I’ve been following Peggy’s podcasts for some months but I must give a special mention to his excellent conversation with Prit Buttar. I could listen to his story about the German refugee lady all day. He is as skilled a narrator as he is a writer. Thank you, Peggy, for persuading him onto the show 😊
An excellent podcast, if you are interested in how historians get there books written, this podcast gives an eye on to that process, even if you just like history, give this a listen, superbly hosted by Ian Pegg who shows great empathy for the writer.
A well produced podcast with excellent discussions from published history authors. The host is easy to listen to and pays attention to his guests.
I have just finished listening to my first episode of authors of history. It’s the one where Jack Bowsher is talking about his books on Burma. What is so interesting about this podcast is that it is a different format. It’s not so much about the history but it’s about how the authors got to writing their book, their background, why they structured it that way. It’s a sort of x-ray of the author process. Really fascinating and I can’t recommend it enough.
The first episode of this podcast really drew me in. A knowledgeable and insightful host who gives his guests the space to talk on their subject and an interesting and articulate first guest! Great all round!
