This is a great podcast, some very knowledgeable guests give hugely interesting and refreshing insights in history.
There are many best things about History Rage. There is the wide variety of guests not just historians but authors, journalists, PHD candidates and fellow podcasters all with their own slant on discussing history. Some are big hitters like James Holland or Tracey Borman but could just as easily be someone discussing a very niche topic that you never knew could be so interesting. Armour for example is weirdly fascinating. But then so is world wars, Tudors, anti Tudors, Cold War, ancient pathways ... more
A nice idea, but depends on the guests and held back by one of the hosts not being very good. He’s a bit cringe, tries too hard to be funny and interrupts the guests. This often results in awkward pauses, which isn’t great to listen too
Great podcast with loads of expert speakers ‘raging’ about false historical myths and trying to correct the record.
A real smorgasbord of topics from across history. Listen to get educated about some often uncomfortable events.
Keep up the great work Paul.

Listeners can expect rigorous context, crunchy anecdotes, and a preference for evidence over celebrity mythmaking, with a lively, occasionally cheeky host dynamic. A notable strength is its willingness to tackle uncomfortable or controversial angles and to foreground well-sourced storytelling from a broad roster of experts. This show is likely to appeal to curious history buffs who enjoy critical takes, counter-narratives, and episodes that pair scholarly ... more
