I learn something every time in this excellent podcast on public health issues that are mostly hidden from public view. This season on the real stories behind health deficiencies on the Navajo reservation focuses on one compelling problem after another; Dr. Gounder is an excellent host and narrator, the story is filled with information but is kept moving along so your interest never flags. This is a quality podcast. Dr. Gounder is smart, thorough, and also interesting. I learn a lot that I didn’t know.
I’m working through season 3 now, and it’s incredibly thoughtful. I love the deep look at a really complicated issue as opposed to our usual knee-jerk reactions that either the government is evil trying to take away guns or that the people who own them are evil. Digging deeply into the issues makes it much easier to imagine solutions. Thanks, Celine!
