The host Clay seems like a real genuine person. His guests have great advice and share the mental aspects of there careers and even away from there jobs how they cope with mental health. I think it’s a great podcast that’s relevant in these uncertain times.
I liked this podcast from the get go, but the first season felt a lot like a book promotion preview session.
Season 2 takes the insightful conversations and puts more meaning behind them while leaving out the part that made it feel like a capitalist money grab.

This podcast is liken to the oxygen that you need in order to live. If you don’t understand the importance of this podcast based on the sentence above; then I don’t know what else to say. 😂
I would recommend Airplane Mode to listeners that want a podcast focused on mental health and well-being in an informal, less “preachy” manner. Clay Skipper acts as a serviceable host, but I feel he has an opportunity to establish himself as the voice of the podcast. I highly recommend the BJ Miller episode to anyone looking for perspective on life & the inevitability of death.
I’m a 23 year old man, and this isn’t necessarily what I expected from GQ, but oddly in a good way. Nothing really relating closely to fashion or entertainment. All the content so far is very relevant, thought provoking and feels like I’m having some deep or interesting talks with a few of my closer guy friends. I really enjoy the podcast and the candid guests that come on!
