  • When all is lost, listen to this podcast ❤️‍🩹

This podcast gives insight to what first responders/first responder families go through and how to deal with and process it in healthy ways. Mental health is something we all need to value and take care of especially in the first responder world. Cinnamon and Erin do a wonderful job at breaking down walls in a way that doesn’t even make it sound like you’re listening to therapists. It is more like two humorous ladies whose passion and love for this community is shown in every single episode. Tha... more

  • Nothing short of amazing

I’m a first responder who has been looking into keeping myself “mentally well”. It’s like going to the doctor for a check up. These episodes help me recognize things that I feel before it becomes a huge issue. There are a lot of confusing concepts that mental health professionals use but this podcasts explains it all so I can totally understand it!! Thanks ladies for putting it all in plain language where I can apply it while keeping it FUN!

The Soleful Warrior’s Playbook for First Responder Departments: Adam Boyd’s Tough Love Fix for Wellness
Q: Can you tell a little bit about how you ended up where you are today and explain a little about where you are today?
Adam explains his transition from law enforcement to focusing on wellness, detailing how accumulative certifications, exposure to resilience training, and a desire to give people practical tools led to the creation of Soleful Training and the Soleful Warrior program.
Unveiling the Power of Stellate Ganglion Block with Dr. Eugene Lipov (Part 1 of 2)
Q: You mentioned the DSM and the name change to PTSI—what difference does that make for patients in practice?
Changing the framing from PTSD to PTSI acknowledges trauma as an injury to the nervous system, which can reduce stigma, encourage treatment-seeking, and align care with biological and physiological understanding.
Unveiling the Power of Stellate Ganglion Block with Dr. Eugene Lipov (Part 1 of 2)
Q: Why is SGB considered a bridge to therapy rather than a replacement for psychotherapy?
Because while the procedure can desensitize the physiologic arousal quickly, lasting change typically requires concurrent psychotherapy to process emotions and reframe trauma, making the patient more receptive to cognitive or behavioral work.
Unveiling the Power of Stellate Ganglion Block with Dr. Eugene Lipov (Part 1 of 2)
Q: Can you explain, in lay terms, what the Stellate Ganglion Block does to the nervous system?
The block rapidly lowers norepinephrine levels in the brain and triggers a pruning effect on the sympathetic nerves, which can reduce hyperarousal and the fight-or-flight response, potentially yielding rapid relief and enabling more effective psychotherapy.
From Command to Connection: Scott L. Booth on Building Trust Through Vulnerability in the Fire Service"
Q: How do you balance the potential downsides of vulnerability, such as concerns about being perceived as weak, with the benefits of openness?
By modeling vulnerability, setting clear boundaries, and emphasizing the collective goal of safety, teams can learn to share without compromising trust or safety, turning vulnerability into a measured leadership tool.
