I feel like the host could be parodying me from time to time because he has ADHD so spot on. A lot of his talk boils down to “stop trying to be neurotypical.” I slow myself down to the point of paralysis trying to be neurotypical.
As a podcaster I appreciate ppl taking the time to do a good sounding show. This show is well done. The host is sincere and articulate like few others. I listen to very few podcasts but this one makes my A-list.
In this podcast the host delves into troubling topics like like procrastination, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and the endless self-sabotaging cycle of inner negativity to which so many of us ADHDers are prone. He does this while eschewing negativity and keeps it light while providing some much needed encouragement as well as strategies to overcome many of ADHD's hurdles. I was officially diagnosed with ADHD at age 27. It has been such a relief to finally know that I'm not lazy, rude or stupid. Our brains are just wired differently than other people and that's okay. In fact it's actually pretty awesome! I see it as a hidden super power ... more
