I’ve been following this family on social media for a few years. I’ve found them to be incredibly powerful- their faith, courage, and vulnerability with sharing their story.
My only feedback that could absolutely just be a me issue- I felt like he might have been interrupting them a lot and I felt frustrated about that. Wonderful episode, and that was just a little frustrating for me but again I’m sure it could just be me.
In grief you need to be seen. Mason does a wonderful job letting his guests tell their stories and feelings without judgement. I lost my husband…. This podcast is so relatable …. We are all going through something. Keep up the great work. You are helping so many of us.
Grief can come from so many different kinds of things. Anyone trying to survive can listen to this, and it will be like oxygen. You will feel better, and like you can keep going one more day, EVERY time you listen. When I get a notification that a new episode is up, I get excited. I know relief is here.
He doesn’t rush people. Doesn’t tie things up. He lets them speak from inside the mess, and he doesn’t clean it up for the audience. That’s rare. There’s something steady in his voice—like someone who’s actually lived what he’s asking about. It’s not about performance. It’s not about healing timelines. It’s just about being honest. Some episodes leave me wrecked. Some leave me strangely comforted.
All of them feel real.
This podcast is inspiring, comforting, vulnerable and brave. I admire the host and his guests. If anything, I cringe occasionally when the host talks over his guests, asks them a question and then proceeds to answer it himself and regularly goes off track. I often wish he’d just listen a little more and get out of his own way. Otherwise a very good and important podcast.

The show centers on raw, intimate conversations about grief, resilience, and meaning-making after life-altering loss. Guests—ranging from survivors to advocates and professionals—share personal journeys, coping strategies, and lessons learned, often tying experiences to community, faith, and purpose. A notable edge is the host's own healing journey and a consistent emphasis on taking responsibility for one's response to hardship, sometimes collaborating with other trauma-focused programs to broaden perspectives. This combination of vulnerable storytelling, practical insight, and a survivor-first lens makes it particularly helpful for listeners seeking connection, coping strategies, and inspiration to turn pain into purpose.
