  • Truth is stranger than fiction

A couple of college professors doing all the hard work and research, so all I have to do is listen. They have reasonable explanations, when others are selling a fish story. Everyone should take off their tin foil hats and give this podcast a listen. Secret Plot to Dose the Planet is my favorite episode.

The Haunted Doll Business with David Cooper

Listings foreground personal testimonies about misfortune and curses, which both sensationalize the object and provide psychological justification for purchase as a way to engage with misfortune rather than just fear.
The Haunted Doll Business with David Cooper
Q: Why are dolls so scary and heavily featured in horror media like Chucky and Annabelle?
Dolls hit the uncanny valley sweet spot—almost human but not quite—which makes them perfect vessels for fear and storytelling in pop culture.
Fake Celebrity Deaths with David Cooper
Q: Have you ever thought to yourself, I'll fake my own death, and great things will come?
The guest explains that while the idea might seem alluring, turning it into a reality is impeded by real-world logistics like accessing money, proving identity, and staying hidden in a world full of cameras and records.
Depression, Anxiety, and Conspiracy Theories
Q: What do you think you were able to get out of your very serious, depressive, anxious time?
He didn't have a diagnosis for a long time, and found a mix of external support and a pet helped in his recovery.
