Preparation starts weeks in advance with medical screening and dietary changes, followed by intense pre-ceremony bonding, learning, and intention-setting to create a safe, comfortable container. The ceremony itself features a shamanic ritual with Icaros and guided ingestion, gradual deepening across multiple cups, and structured intervals of music, breathing, purging, and integration after the last night ceremony, with a day of rest and reflection to solidify the experience.
