  • Spitting truth

Keep calling men forward to rise and keep expanding our knowledge of what a real man looks like. So much value here. Thank you!

  • Important info but still defends men’s bad behavior at times

I am glad he is putting this content out there- men need as much of it as they can get. I was disappointed, however, listening to a recent podcast about intimacy and he seemed to be defending men’s bad behavior. I get it, he is a man, but it still isn’t healthy to defend men at large in their dysfunction.

  • Disappointing

After hearing Connor on other podcasts being pretty raw, honest and insightful, decided to start listening to his own podcast. Still occasionally insightful, but a lot of the time he ends up explaining to men what women are thinking and completely missing the mark, buying into the Jordan Peterson school of thought that women don’t actually know what they want so you shouldn’t listen to them because they are ruled by their biology. I mean come on Connor. It’s 2025, get with it. I know you can han... more

  • Sometimes vague and general.

Trying to find the words but sometimes feels vague or general and “rantful” Some episodes better than others. Much also self-explanatory. I know some people may struggle more with simple things. Could go more in-depth, episodes can be short. And feels like most of his personal experience only.

We know some of the stuff already… but want to know how to implement it. Bridging the self awareness to action.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Unpacking the Complex Crisis of Male Suicide
Q: What are the main factors that contribute to risk for men, based on your findings?
Three core factors are exposure to pain (historical and current), difficulties with regulation (emotional coping strategies that may backfire), and a threshold where the pain becomes unbearable; these are shaped by relationships, self-view, and emotional processing.
Breaking the Cycle of Men’s Sexual Anxiety, with Kate Moyle
Q: What is the biopsychosocial framework and how does it apply to sexual health?
The framework considers biological, psychological, and social factors and their interactions; it's used to analyze issues like erectile dysfunction beyond just medical causes.
Breaking the Cycle of Men’s Sexual Anxiety, with Kate Moyle
Q: What are a lot of men coming to see you about, and what does that say about men today?
She notes changes in motivation, desire, and sexual anxiety, emphasizing the need for private, confidential spaces to discuss sex and recognizing broader social pressures that impact men.
Breaking the Cycle of Men’s Sexual Anxiety, with Kate Moyle
Q: How do you describe your work when you're at a dinner party?
She explains she is a psychosexual therapist who specializes in sex and relationship issues, and clarifies the distinction between general talking therapies and this specific field.
The Worst Ages for Kids to Experience Divorce, with Erica Komisar
Q: Can you summarize the two developmental windows where divorce is most risky for kids, and why those periods matter?
The first window is zero to three years, where attachment security is forming; disrupting that bond can impact emotional regulation and long-term mental health. The second window is adolescence, roughly from age 10 to mid-20s, when the brain prunes and reorganizes; stress or instability then can have outsized effects on identity, relationships, and emotional health. The core idea is that timing and quality of parenting during these periods determine the child's resilience.
