  • Spitting truth

Keep calling men forward to rise and keep expanding our knowledge of what a real man looks like. So much value here. Thank you!

  • Important info but still defends men’s bad behavior at times

I am glad he is putting this content out there- men need as much of it as they can get. I was disappointed, however, listening to a recent podcast about intimacy and he seemed to be defending men’s bad behavior. I get it, he is a man, but it still isn’t healthy to defend men at large in their dysfunction.

  • Disappointing

After hearing Connor on other podcasts being pretty raw, honest and insightful, decided to start listening to his own podcast. Still occasionally insightful, but a lot of the time he ends up explaining to men what women are thinking and completely missing the mark, buying into the Jordan Peterson school of thought that women don’t actually know what they want so you shouldn’t listen to them because they are ruled by their biology. I mean come on Connor. It’s 2025, get with it. I know you can han... more

  • Where did the Mark Walsh episode go?

It was the best thing I’ve heard on this podcast. Went to share it with a friend and it seems to have disappeared.

  • Sometimes vague and general.

Trying to find the words but sometimes feels vague or general and “rantful” Some episodes better than others. Much also self-explanatory. I know some people may struggle more with simple things. Could go more in-depth, episodes can be short. And feels like most of his personal experience only.

We know some of the stuff already… but want to know how to implement it. Bridging the self awareness to action.

How To Control Emotional Reactions, with Dr. Kelly Flanagan
Q: How can men start to deal with their triggers in a practical way?
Begin with sensing and admitting the disruption, practice non-punitive pauses to regulate the nervous system, and use open-hearted communication to reconnect rather than fall back into defensiveness.
How To Control Emotional Reactions, with Dr. Kelly Flanagan
Q: Why do we get hijacked during conflicts even when we know better?
Because the nervous system shifts into a threat response that suppresses higher thinking; this is normal, but you can retrain it to stay calm and keep the heart open so you can act with greater wisdom.
How To Control Emotional Reactions, with Dr. Kelly Flanagan
Q: What is a trigger really, and how do most people understand it?
A trigger is a three-step process where the nervous system activates, the heart closes in response, and an unconscious choice to stay closed creates a cycle; clinically it can refer to PTSD, but in this context it's a specific relational pattern that can be worked with by staying open and re-engaging.
What Women Don't Understand About Men, with Alison Armstrong
Q: What role does admiration play in long-term commitment?
Admiration motivates partners to contribute and want to collaborate; when one admires the other's strengths, the partnership becomes more resilient and mutually fulfilling.
What Women Don't Understand About Men, with Alison Armstrong
Q: How can men be more effective in their relationships without falling into manipulation?
By focusing on clear boundaries, asking what the other person needs, learning to listen with curiosity about what matters to them, and leaning into complementary strengths rather than trying to 'fix' or control.
