  • Solid info

Very unique, there aren’t a lot of podcasts specific to leading and managing an outpatient clinic. Unique guests and interviews. He sometimes does more of the talking than the interviewee though but that’s just a small gripe, it’s great overall.

  • As a marketer helping build a physical therapy practice from the ground up, Paul Gough is invaluable. If you are in business in any way though, Paul's method's and mantra are sure to take you to new heights.

As he often says, the things he teaches will help you in business, work, and life.

Paul’s podcast is a great study. The amount of content helpful to the private practitioner is amazing. Plus, put it on repeat because each time you pick up another tip you didn’t digest the first time. Thank you Paul!

  • Great content

I started listening to Paul’s podcast around 1-2 yrs ago. He immediately changed my mentality on “selling” myself and my rehabilitation and wellness services. The techniques that he offers are practical and real world, he offers long-term strategies to get people through the door, and to buy into long term PT.

Paul, thank you and your team for all that you do for us. I will be visiting you soon at a live event!

  • Great information!

I started listening to Paul Gough’s podcast about a year ago after I bought his Accelerator book. I love the content he gives and how he presents it. There are many podcasts that are interview style, Paul’s is different. I like that he lets us get an inside peak into his staff trainings and his events. The content is relevant and important. We get to hear how he trains his staff to run his clinics, so we get to hear how it’s working for them and know that what he teaches us is already working. T... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP778☕"What Advice Would You Give On Trying To Hire Your Dream Team?" [Coffee with Goughy Live from LA]
Q: What advice would you give on trying to hire your dream team?
Focus on finding the next right person, build the team one authentic leader at a time, and don't be afraid to set clear standards and expectations. If someone doesn't fit the mission or culture, it's better to address it early and be willing to part ways rather than muting your standards.
EP774☕"My Kids Are All Under 18. If I Died Tomorrow, Should They Inherit Millions At 25, 30, Or Never?” [Coffee with Goughy]
Q: That is an interesting scenario—if I die tomorrow, should my kids inherit millions at 25, 30, or never?
The guest explains that inheritance should be structured to build resilience and independence, suggesting staggered access (and potentially a delayed lump sum) tied to milestones and emotional readiness, rather than an automatic at any age.
EP770☕"How Do I Stand Out In An Oversaturated Cash-Based PT Market?" [Coffee with Goughy Live From LA]
Q: what's one to two to three things you could say on a simple trajectory that I could maybe create more leads?
Focus on personal storytelling and community-driven events (like monthly workshops) that showcase your life, values, and unique energy. Keep the kids involved when possible to create authenticity and ongoing engagement, and start with a recurring, low-barrier workshop model to generate leads and trust before scaling.
EP771☕"My Wife Just Financed An $80,000 Car. I Just Spent Six Months Agonizing Over Whether I Could Afford A $300 Marketing Campaign!" [Coffee with Goughy]
Q: My wife just financed an $80,000 car. I spent months agonizing over a $300 marketing campaign. Something doesn't add up. What should I do?
Recognize that the car purchase and the marketing budget reveal different priorities. You need a robust marketing plan and budget to drive patient acquisition; otherwise the business will stagnate or deteriorate despite flashy equipment or personal purchases. Start by committing a realistic marketing budget, reassess cash flow, and implement a clear follow-up and sales process to convert leads into paying clients.
EP772☕"How Do I Consistently Train And Develop My Team? How Often Should I Be Coaching Them — Weekly, Monthly?" [Pint with Paul Live from LA]
Q: As I transition from clinician to CEO, how often should I coach my team—weekly, monthly?
There isn't a universal schedule; you should find your own lane and balance real-time, on-the-ground coaching with some regular touchpoints, ensuring your team knows how you work and what to expect.
