  • Great stuff!!!

Mike Reinold is a great resource for the PT community. He oversees a huge variety of material which he makes readily available to a large number of dtherapists. It is efforts like his that move the profession forward!

The discussions of recent relevant journal articles are extremely helpful for those of us who don’t have the time or resources to pursue the research ourselves. This is another example of the important services Mike is providing the PT community!

  • good content, bad production

    Hey Mike!

Don't take this personal, I do love getting this much insight into you and your colleagues' experience and knowledge. But I must say, due to the poor audio quality, I don't enjoy listening and most often search for other podcasts covering the same topics. I think production quality is something fairly easy to improve, so maybe invest some money there!

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Should Adults Lift for Less than 5 Reps Per Set? - #AMR382
Q: Should we clarify whether it's about reps or working to failure?

Hamstring Exercises after PCL and Meniscus Surgery - #AMR379
Q: When should I start hamstring strengthening exercises after PCL reconstruction with meniscus repair?
Most protocols suggest waiting 8-12 weeks before introducing resistant hamstring work, particularly to avoid stress on the PCL and ensure proper healing.
What to Do When an Athlete Passes Objective Testing But Not Psychological Readiness - #AMR374
Q: How do you balance objective strength testing with psychological readiness in return to sport decisions?
The discussion revolves around integrating athletes' psychological readiness with their passing objective tests by employing strategies like gradual exposure, involving coaches in the plan, and using psychological assessments throughout rehabilitation.
How to Differentiate Between Hip and Low Back Pain - #AMR373
Q: How do you differentiate between mechanical low back pain and hip-related pathology in athletes?
The key lies in understanding the subjective symptoms, mechanism of injury, and differentiating pain through physical examination and special tests.
How to Progress Rehabilitation Following Hamstring Strains - #AMR370
Q: How do you manage a hamstring injury for a footballer, and what are your benchmarks for return to sports?
The hosts emphasize starting eccentric loading early and highlight benchmarks such as achieving pain-free range of motion and symmetrical strength testing. They discuss specific exercises and testing measures to ensure safe return to sport.
