  • Lifesaving information

Dr. Amy is clear, insightful, warm, and brilliant. She traces the impact of trauma throughout the intricacies of human life, and how that then presents in the healthcare setting, both in patients and clinicians. Her message is simple but not easy: the only medicine for trauma is loving connection, and without that connection, we can never feel truly safe.

  • Wonderful Interviewer!

Dr. Amy is a great interviewer - not surprising, as she’s a psychologist specializing in how trauma presents in primary care.

She interviewed me about my lived experience of having bipolar disorder. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her.

  • Dr. Amy King is an amazing psychologist. Primary care physicians, especially pediatricians, are often first responders to patients who have experienced trauma. That's why it's so important that they are trained to respond to trauma and learn how to create resilience. Dr. Amy interviewed me. I had a wonderful time talking to her.
