I found this podcast during Karen Read and enjoyed the “local” coverage. Both Mel and Rebecca are individually intelligent and articulate. However, Rebecca grates on my nerves as she is such a know it all, who is constantly trying to prove her cohost wrong and often interrupts or talks over her, often over nothing of true import, she just needs to be right. It gives a vibe of elitism and condescension, rather than cohesion. I can also live without Rebecca rattling off her resume every episode to... more
I liked the investigation into the Pamala Smart story. Very interesting.
Mel’s research is thorough and provides the listener with important background and context. She never forgets the humanity of the subjects she discusses.
I loved Mel's coverage of Pam Smart, her attention to detail shows her commitment and passion to storytelling. I really loved the in depth coverage of Karen Read. I was as obsessed with this case and I was with Jodi Arias; you can't tell me enough or do deep enough into the case. - And now that she's joined forces with Rebecca, I can't get enough! They have such a great dynamic! (And I love Rebecca's laugh!)
I’ve always appreciated the way you report on your podcast, but this one was so special. It gave me new voice on how to talk to family members who think they can talk me out of human decency.
It was such a beautiful tribute to Matthew, thank you.
