The Body Awake is a show for people interested in health and the human body, in a conversation beyond "body as machine." It's about what we're made of, how we move, how illness, injury and healing happen, and how we can use that information to live better lives.

I am a yoga instructor and Ayurvedic Practitoner, soon to be in school for Counseling Psychology & I cant tell you how much I have appreciated listening to this podcast. The diversity in guests, the clarity of the host, the level of vulnerability & authenticity entered into in conversation, and the applicability of these topics to not only body work but other CAM modalities is so appreciated. Thank you for sharing these with us all!
I love this podcast. Liam is such a good interviewer and really gets into the books and crannies of the subject with his guests. Thank you!!
I love this show!! Amazing content presents itself in really beautiful ways throughout the conversations recorded here. I especially love the episodes with Irene Lyon. Thanks for making all this wisdom accessible!
The host seems to like to hear the sound of his own voice, as he talks quite a bit. His questions are so long that by the time he has gotten to the end of a question one has lost track of the original starting point. One doesn’t need complicated, intricate questions to make a good podcast. I would appreciate more air time for the guests. Simple questions will suffice.
The host asks very useful, clarifying questions, keeps the show at a great pace, and offers helpful summaries. I am grateful!
This podcast is so effing brilliant. Get ready for a ride! So much valuable information we need to keep getting it out there
Lovely podcast on a great subject. Good stuff. - Mark, UK
Liam Bowler provides those working in somatics and movement therapies an essential resource in teasing out the philosophies and insights of exemplary somatics teachers. This one-on-one interview format is preceded by Bowler's personal insights, and he does a fine job of letting his guest talk while only occasionally injecting prompts or leading questions. As a massage therapist, I appreciate the insights to fill out my training.
A feat of combining intimate experiences, knowledge, wisdom, understanding and compassion into an amazing podcast about the body. This is a joy to listen to each episode and I come away each time with both something to feel into in my own body and an immense appreciation for Liam's voice and all his hard work. Liam's voice in this podcast is soothing, extremely wise, witty and all around phenomenal. Each episode I feel more in tune with my body, and feel like I have a more holistic understanding... more
