We love fishing. We love tacos. That pretty much sums it up. We may not be the best anglers, but we may just be the best taco eaters on earth. Hosted by Nate, Lola and Jordan, we're gonna talk probably 75% fishing, 23% tacos and an undetermined amount of nonsense. One thing we can promise; this won't be just another fishing podcast, and we won't be anything but real. The show won't be edited, and ... more

  • Tackle and tacos!!!!!

Really good podcast. The hosts are hilarious with a lot of great guests. Good info that reels you in to taco bout fishing but leaves you buying ingredients for tacos on your way home from work.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Andrew Behnke on Chasing Giants, Fitness, Tacos and the 12-lb Bass He’ll Never Forget - Episode 135
Q: What was the light bulb moment that made you switch to a deep plug?
He did research on Rayburn, knew giant bags were caught on deep cranks in February, rigged two up in practice, and ultimately found in day one that the big fish would respond to deep cranks when they moved and fed in that environment.
Legend Pod - Fred Boom Boom Roumbanis - Episode 133
Q: How did you get the nickname Boom Boom and how has it shaped your career?
The nickname came from media labeling during a high-profile 2007 event and boxing-cultural references; he later trademarked it and built a brand around it, turning it into a lasting identity that opened doors for product branding and speaking opportunities.
Fishing Beyond the Algorithm w/ Larry Melton Jr. - Episode 134
Q: What advice would you give someone who wants to blaze a trail on YouTube today?
He emphasizes being yourself, finding your unique angle, being consistent, and leveraging relatable moments with friends or family while also taking inspiration from others, since authenticity combined with consistency helps you stand out in a saturated space.
Fishing Beyond the Algorithm w/ Larry Melton Jr. - Episode 134
Q: What got you started into fishing and how did that progress into doing YouTube?
Larry describes growing up in Alabama, loving fishing from an early age, pursuing kinesiology in college, and during COVID turning to social media with multiple daily videos on TikTok, which led to offers from big teams and ultimately building his audience on YouTube while staying authentic to his personality.
College Course - Reels 101 - Professor Trey Harpel - Episode 131
Q: What should someone consider when looking at ball bearings for reels?
Quality matters more than quantity; high-quality bearings perform better even with fewer compared to cheaper reels that boast a higher count.
