They talk about very interesting topics and extremely vital for the hunter and the competition shooter.
David was completely unqualified to speak about predator management and listening to him try to BS his way through the episode was a chore. Additionally a wolf isn’t killing 60 caribou a year, that’s more than one a week.
“Locals say” “credible people” give me a break. Have an expert on or don’t have the episode.
Thank you for the recent episode on match bullets for hunting, as a avid hunter and reloader who sells firearms for a living I appreciate these topics on educating the public. With all the social media feeding new/old hunters on the “best” practices for taking big game I’d love to hear more topics on small calibers for big game, long range hunting and the reality of these methods.
My favorite cartridge in the 308 family is the 243. I have 6 sub-moa loads with one rifle. 55gr Sierra BK’s, 70gr Varmageddon, 90gr eldx, and 100gr interlock, Sierra GK and partition. It seems anything that I feed it groups well and it’s a pleasure to shoot!
Enjoyed the podcast as I have made my foray into Shooting and reloading. I also shoot the 6.5 creedmoor which was good for a 500 yard heart shot on an antelope with a 129 grain hunting performance SST bullet. Just under two mils hold and the BC calculators was spot on.
