  • Well done

A well done podcast that comes from a place of honesty and integrity. I also do not see any of the subjects being discussed as click bait or an easy gloss over to lure listeners in like some other podcasts on the subject. I think Joseph puts his heart and soul into this and it shows. I also like that there are sponsors, but no commercials selling regular consumer goods. I’m sure he could , but chooses not to. I’ll keep listening.

  • Superb Podcast

This is the best podcast I have come across for accurate experience based content. Joseph talks from decades of experience and research with a little bias thrown in as a bullet nerd. As a fellow bullet nerd I appreciate his in depth talks about all things bullets.

  • One of my favorites.

This is a great hunting podcast. JVB covers rifles and calibers in a no nonsense manner and I say that as a guy who has hunted deer, elk, and bear in Oregon for over 30 years. The ads aren’t annoying and the audio is almost always flawless. If you’re a fan of hunting, shooting , or back country adventures in general give it a listen.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hunting Q&A: Bullets, Cartridges, & Rifles
Q: How essential is it that the barrel in action be stainless for coastal hunting conditions?
It's recommended to prefer stainless steel barrels for hunting wet and salty environments like coastal Alaska.
Hunting Q&A: Bullets, Cartridges, & Rifles
Q: Is there anything available that could replace Remington's 220-grain corelocked in 30-06 ammo?
It's been a great short-range bullet for elk hunting in thick timber, but alternatives like 200-grain nozzler partition or 180-grain TTS-X bullet by Barnes are recommended.
Live Q&A: 7mm Backcountry Cartridge Examined from Every Angle!
Q: Is there a worry about a shortage of steel cases and components for this new 7MM Backcountry?
I’m not too worried. Federal is good at managing their resources, and they might eventually offer their propellant to hand loaders.
Live Q&A: 7mm Backcountry Cartridge Examined from Every Angle!
Q: Would you recommend the 7MM Backcountry if I was starting a project rifle now?
While considering it can be exciting, it's better to wait until more data on availability and performance is gathered.
Live Q&A: 7mm Backcountry Cartridge Examined from Every Angle!
Q: Will there be a low pressure brass cased option for the 7MM Backcountry, similar to what SIG offers?
Speculation indicates there might be such an option, but nothing has been confirmed.
