On piece of constructive criticism: the cold open is way too long and confusing. A cold open quote is usually 5-10 seconds and easily sums up one key talking point, acting as a hook/promise that captives the listener and orients them all at once. As a neurodivergent person myself, I'm always on the lookout for resources that help me make sense of my wonky brain. This podcast is an absolute gem. It's refreshing to hear from both ADHD individuals and experts who really understand the unique challenges we face.
As a woman in my late 30s just now going through the diagnosis process, this podcast has been so affirming and educational. I don’t think Brooke realizes how much of an impact she is having on people’s lives just by being her authentic self and being willing to have these sometimes difficult and vulnerable conversations with experts across the field of ADHD, and with everyday people.
