  • Good in theory.

The amount of ads in this podcast is absolutely overwhelming. Sometimes it feels like it’s a 50:50 ratio content to ads/plugs.

  • Solid podcast, I just wish the ad portion in the beginning wasn’t so long

This podcast is very helpful and informative. The host knows what she’s talking about and is very kind and considerate in how she speaks to her listeners. However, the first five odd minutes of the podcast are dedicated to sponsorships and ads. I wish there was a option of subscribing to an ad-free version so I can just get to the meat of the episodes and not have to skip forward every time. Maybe there is and I'm just not aware of it? There have been episodes where it’s been nearly 8 minutes of... more

382 You Are Not a F*ck Up with Cate Osborn and Erik Gude
Q: What would you say kind of sets it apart from another ADHD book?
The book was designed with accessibility at the core, including dyslexia-friendly fonts, a flexible, non-linear structure, and representation from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities; it combines practical guidance with honest, unapologetic perspectives and collaborative authorship.
386 A Very ADHD Episode: Deep Feelings and Random Reels
Q: Is it okay to have discussions in front of kids when emotions run high, and how should we frame them?
It's acceptable to model healthy disagreement in front of children, provided there are boundaries and a plan to repair, so kids learn that conflicts can be resolved and relationships can improve.
386 A Very ADHD Episode: Deep Feelings and Random Reels
Q: How can we move forward or break bad habits in parenting when ADHD and emotions run high?
The host guides the caller to acknowledge past harm, use journaling to vent unaddressed issues, and move toward a repair conversation with accountability and shared goals, possibly involving therapy.
381 BITESIZE | Grieving the Life You Could Have Had (Late-Diagnosed ADHD)
Q: My question for you is, for people who are diagnosed as adults, how do you move past the regrets or looking back and feeling like you missed opportunities because you didn't know you had ADHD until later?
Focus on acknowledging the past without letting it define you. Grieve the losses, process the pain, and use that energy to make purposeful changes now, including seeking appropriate treatment and practicing self-compassion. Repair, when possible, can also help release some of the heaviness of regret.
