  • Do a show on RSD had more than one flavour

I loved hearing about a side of RSD that I never heard before, and that was a woman’s point of view when she reacted when she wasn’t wasn’t listened to, or opinion wasn’t trusted, or wasn’t felt appreciated enough.

My wasted life of RSD has always been to live in people-pleasing mod, to be kind, and to not say anything hurtful to anyone because I wouldn’t want anyone to feel this way.

My wife, however, can fly off the handle; and, I thought maybe she had borderline personality disorder or so... more

  • Amazing podcast

I love your podcast very much and I have learned so much. I am a 48 yr old woman diagnosed with ADHD 2 yrs ago. When experts talk about how women experience ADHD it’s great but I don’t identify with that as I have combined type. I was the hyperactive little girl and people don’t seem to talk about that very often, only about little boys.

  • Perfect for neuro divergent individuals.

This has to be the best ADHD podcast I’ve ever listened to, thank you Alex, your episodes have made my life with RSD so so so so so so so so much easier. If I could give you 6 stars I would without hesitation. Thank you. 11/10

  • Was great originally

Early episodes of this podcast were great and very relatable, and Alex seemed to show a genuine interest in the lives of his guests.

Now it just seems like one big advert for his book, with RSD pushed heavily at every opportunity in a very unbalanced way. The style of questioning backs guests into corners rather than allowing them to lead the narrative which would be more useful.

The click-bait nature of the titles and social media posts is also REALLY irritating, as are the cheesy American i... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

No.1 Female Autism Expert: What Female Autism REALLY Looks Like (It's not what you think)
Q: Is there groundbreaking research on ADHD and autism co-occurrence in women?
Emerging work uses brain imaging to compare responses in the scanner for autistic women, particularly those with a history of bullying, to understand how masking and social processing manifest in neural activity, suggesting a more fluid overlap between ADHD and autism rather than a fixed dichotomy.
No.1 Female Autism Expert: What Female Autism REALLY Looks Like (It's not what you think)
Q: What do the findings show about differences in how autism presents in women versus men?
There is growing evidence that autistic women, especially those diagnosed late, show heightened social processing responses to negative experiences and that traditional male-centered diagnostic tools miss many female presentations, leading to underdiagnosis and misinterpretation of symptoms.
Neuroscientist (Dr Miguel): THIS Common Food Turns ADHD Into A Superpower, It's In Your Cupboard!
Q: Why is diet so hard to get right for someone with ADHD?
Diet is challenging because people with ADHD often have fluctuating cognitive capacity and a need for safety. Building a personal, flexible wardrobe of foods and making small, consistent changes helps integrate nutrition into daily life without triggering shame or guilt.
Neuroscientist (Dr Miguel): THIS Common Food Turns ADHD Into A Superpower, It's In Your Cupboard!
Q: Can food really help brain function and focus, or is it mostly placebo?
Food can positively influence brain function, but effects are subtle and depend on how foods are combined and consumed over time. Emphasizing variety and color while respecting individual sensory needs provides a supportive framework rather than a miracle cure.
Neuroscientist (Dr Miguel): THIS Common Food Turns ADHD Into A Superpower, It's In Your Cupboard!
Q: As someone with ADHD or autism, are there any nutritional precautions you should take?
Focus on supportive, not restrictive, food groups; prioritize protein early in the day to stabilize blood sugar, incorporate fiber and colorful vegetables for polyphenols, and choose healthy fats like canned fish for accessibility. Make small, sustainable changes rather than drastic overhauls to avoid cognitive fatigue and self-criticism.
