  • Honouring my family

I felt privileged to speak to Karen about losing three members of my immediate family in the space of fourteen days.

It has been a roller coaster ride of emotions for a long time and I still find talking about my family helps me come to terms with what happened.

Karen is extremely easy to talk to and although we have never met I felt very comfortable during the session. She has a very challenging subject to discuss on her podcast but she does it magnificently.

  • A chance to honour my dad

Speaking to Karen for my podcast was a very cathartic experience, and she was a great interviewer, asking the right questions and listening carefully to my responses before asking her best question. I have listened to others in the series and it’s a beautiful way to honour our loved ones, who were denied so many of the funeral rites and so on that they should’ve had. It felt special to be able to honour them this way.

  • Raw but beautiful

Karen has put together a raw, but beautifully crafted collection of stories from people who suffered great losses during the Covid pandemic. They are relatable, emotional and go through a number of issues faced by those grieving. As well as this we get to hear about those lives that were forever changed by the pandemic, those that passed away and their families left behind. This isn’t just about covid though, it’s about grief and all the raw emotions that go with it. Thanks Karen

  • Import work in face of grief

Fantastic. Such important work to face grief and provide a space to be heard not just for those who shared their stories through the podcast but also for many who must feel heard through the telling of shared experience. Thank you.
