I do really like this on the whole, and has become a routine listen. However it can be quite ranty and cringey. I know wellness and politcs are sometimes linked but when they spent the majority of an episode speaking about how bad school dinners are it left me in a bad mood as it was so negative and automatically shuts out people like me without kids. it is not what i want from a wellness podcast.
I know they think they are being inclusive but is starting to feel like a mums podcast
Have been a regular listener and find a lot of what Ella and Rhiannon have to say very interesting.
Was pretty surprised to hear an advert on their show for Med Express‘s weight loss treatment (GLP1s), this is after listening to an episode where they were shaming diet culture and talking about how GLP1s can be misused. Feels super weird and off brand to have them as a sponsor
I usually love this podcast but was disappointed to hear an advert for a weight loss medicine service straight after a piece about size zero being unhealthy in the latest episode. It feels misjudged and disingenuous to receive funding from such a company.
The podcast is a good listen and I love the nuanced approach to research and fads. That being said: I now doubt that nuance as they talk about living healthy but then have advertisements for weight loss drugs. Hope they change this.. it’s leading by bad example.
I find this so relaxing and informative at the same time! I’ve learnt loads and find the vibe really lovely. I find the range of topics super interesting too, and how it covers pop culture a bit too
