Thank you so much for this really helpful podcast. I love your no nonsense approach without scaremongering! I have a question…I have heard you talking about how bad UP meats are especially sausages and ham. Is this specifically because of the additives? Or another reason? Would eating brands which do 97% pork sausages be a better choice? There is also a brand doing nitrate free ham? Or are these still foods to avoid? Thanks for your help. X
I am obsessed with this podcast. I only discovered it a few weeks ago and I’ve been binge listening to all the episodes! Ella and Re are so easy to listen to, it’s like having a chat with friends.
I have learnt so much, thank you.
I’m checking food labels, removed vegetable oils from
my diet, as much as possible, I’ve rediscovered my mojo for cooking from scratch, I’m telling everyone about The Wellness Scoop!
So educational and informative, but in an easy to understand way. 💜
You speak about meat, especially processed red meat and how that is bad for you. But what about dairy? Is UPF coconut yoghurt better than dairy greek yog, is vegan cheese better than having cheddar most days? Same for plant milks, custards and mayo - are the vegan alternates better for you than consuming dariy?
Secondly, you mention UPF vegan meats are a better alternative to red meat - but is small pieces of good quality white fish or chicken still better than vegan meats?
Thanks!
Rose
And love Ella’s calming approach however Rhiannon please stop saying ‘guys’ every second sentence, it comes across as incredibly patronising. Honestly like nails on a chalkboard.
