  • Solid atheist podcast

There are several recent bad reviews that seem to have been written by people who wanted to criticize the Christian show Unbelievable and they literally reviewed the wrong podcast. This is an atheist show sometimes analyzes and critiques that show (confusing premise)…Good array of topics and interviews, host gets a bit huffy puffy sometimes but his heart is in it and I think he’s quite fair to members of the 1st century judeo-Greco-Roman death cult. My main issue is this pod has been going on fo... more

  • Great podcast!

I enjoy listening to this podcast. The hosts bring on a variety of guests with different perspectives and try to keep the discussion civil. I really enjoyed listening to the series on the Alpha course. If you are a believer, you probably won’t appreciate this podcast as much, but as someone who recently left the faith, I enjoy the perspectives and discussions on this podcast.

Episode 147 James McGrath - Beyond Deconstruction
Q: Why did you choose to set aside the God question in your book?
The God question has become a non-issue for me because I think it's essentially beyond question; the emphasis is on how to live with uncertainty and how to engage with others honestly.
Episode 146 - Rhonda Mawhood Lee - Suicide and the Communion of Saints
Q: Rhonda, do you think there is a taboo around expressing relief when someone dies by suicide?
Yes, it usually surprises people. Many bereaved by suicide experience a mix of emotions including relief.
Episode 145 - Michelle Van Loon - Downsizing: Letting Go of Evangelicalism’s Nonessentials.
Q: What advice do you have for someone new to the deconstruction community?
They should know they are not alone, that their questions are valid, and that finding a supportive community or a counselor can be beneficial.
Episode 145 - Michelle Van Loon - Downsizing: Letting Go of Evangelicalism’s Nonessentials.
Q: What does a church need to downsize, in your opinion?
It requires leaders and the congregation to engage in hard conversations and conduct a self-examination of practices and teachings.
Episode 145 - Michelle Van Loon - Downsizing: Letting Go of Evangelicalism’s Nonessentials.
Q: What got you to make that journey from Judaism to Evangelical Christianity?
I was always hungry and curious about God, and my journey began when a friend told me about Christianity and I started reading the Bible on my own.
