  • Love this. Great deconstruction of the lies told by Christian thought leaders in the parenting sphere. Useful for Christians looking to wisely select healthier materials, and deconstructed/deconstructing folks to see what was true and choose their path forward

  • Great show

Your show reminds me of two great bands; Thin Lizzie and Wishbone Ash. I’m not sure why! Maybe it’s your hard-driving lyrics with a rock-n-roll beat and a true knowledge of the instrument.

  • If you sometimes miss the part of church where a straight, white man tells you what to think and do…

Clint is here to mansplain deconversion to you!

The episodes with no guests feature Clint clearly reading straight off pages of typed notes in a monotone. Episodes with guests feature pointless interruptions by Clint, especially female guests. For example, I loved hearing from Katherine North on the latest episode but it was almost impossible to keep listening because of Clint’s constant talking over her.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Christian Past That Wasn't: Debunking Christian Nationalist Myths (with Dr Warren Throckmorton)
Q: Who benefits from promoting the myth of Christian nationalism?
Politics, power, and influence are gained by aligning conservative Christianity with contemporary leadership, creating reciprocal benefits where religious groups gain policy influence and politicians secure electoral support, even when this diverges from standard constitutional separation of church and state.
Pete Hegseth and Doug Wilson: Patriarchy, Power, and Politics (with Peter Bell of the Sons of Patriarchy)
Q: How did Pete Hegseth come to be connected with the Doug Wilson network?
The guest suggests a path through educational and media connections—Goodwin and ACCS leaders reportedly connected with Hegseth via Fox News engagements and the evangelical education circuit, with collaboration intensifying once Hegseth's public profile rose around 2024.
Part 1: A Conversation with Nick P from The Autistic Pod
Q: How do you deal with relationships being neurodivergent?
It's about understanding and accommodating each other's differences and learning to communicate effectively.
Part 1: A Conversation with Nick P from The Autistic Pod
Q: What inspired you to start The Autistic Pod?
I wanted to make a difference and help those struggling with mental health and neurodiversity after experiencing my own challenges.
Yes, We WERE Teenage Fundamentalists! (with Brian & Troy from IWATF)
Q: What are some of the helpful strategies you found?
Connecting with social groups outside of the faith and being kind to oneself during the transition.
