  • Great show

Your show reminds me of two great bands; Thin Lizzie and Wishbone Ash. I’m not sure why! Maybe it’s your hard-driving lyrics with a rock-n-roll beat and a true knowledge of the instrument.

  • If you sometimes miss the part of church where a straight, white man tells you what to think and do…

Clint is here to mansplain deconversion to you!

The episodes with no guests feature Clint clearly reading straight off pages of typed notes in a monotone. Episodes with guests feature pointless interruptions by Clint, especially female guests. For example, I loved hearing from Katherine North on the latest episode but it was almost impossible to keep listening because of Clint’s constant talking over her.

From Christian Rocker to Losing Jesus (with Mikee Bridges)
Q: What happened when you started questioning your beliefs?
I started to see the Bible as a form of governance as well... I just went on a dive and no one knew. It wasn't a crack, it was more like my house had moved off the foundation.
Shame-Sex Attraction: Surviving Conversion Therapy (with Dr Lucas Wilson)
Q: What were your experiences of surviving conversion therapy at Liberty University?
Dr. Wilson describes a systematic approach that included scripture reading, prayer, and assessments of personal 'victories' versus 'slip-ups.' He notes the harmful narratives that compounded a sense of shame and self-hatred.
Helping People To Escape From Christianity (with Tim Mills)
Q: How do you reconstruct on the back end? What’s the best advice you have for someone who's walked away from their religion?
You could mope and grope and stare at the wall, or you could get back to real life and say, there are people that care about me, love me. Grieve it a little and then get back on the horse, back to your life.
Change Your Life Script: Dealing with Limiting Beliefs (with Austra Putnina)
Q: How can people with imposter syndrome overcome it?
Austra emphasizes the importance of action and understanding that we all have imperfections that can connect us rather than define us negatively.
