  • Ehhh

I checked out The New Evangelicals hoping for genuine critique and nuance, but it’s just evangelical dogma swapped for progressive dogma. They’ve traded Bible Belt fundamentalism for woke fundamentalism, now preaching left-wing talking points dressed up as theology. Instead of sticking to their brand of progressive Christianity, they dive into politics—encouraging third-party voting and treating “Christian nationalism” like the ultimate evil—while completely ignoring Israeli power and the Torah’... more

  • Interview skills

I appreciate Tim’s point of view, and he has really great guests on. However, when he’s interviewing them, he often monologues and doesn’t leave enough room for his guests to speak. I really like the Tim and April show, because they have great rapport. Tim is great in that show! I wonder if perhaps someone else could assist with interviews so we can really get the interviewee’s perspective.

  • Tim’s Misconduct Brushed Under the Carpet

An independent investigation by GRACE found—among many things—that Whitaker “committed behavioral misconduct in the form of verbal, nonverbal and physical acts that were improper, including a lack of self-control, controlling behaviors, and holding double standards.” This report had been released in March, and since then Tim and TNE has done everything in their power to put it behind them without actual accountability. It’s the same Tim with a new-ish board, new executive director, new website, ... more
