Hi. Love your stuff. John Dominic Crossen is a favorite. Love Beau and the graphs as well. Found out today that I have been accepted into discernment to become a woman Roman Catholic priest. I need to complete 33 college credits in theology. I don’t necessarily need a degree but it might be a nice bonus prize. I live in Rhode Island and work full time as a veterinarian so it may take me a while. Wondering if you have suggestions for online not boring and progressive Christianity classes. I can p... more
I used to love this show. It is what brought me back to the church, and the reason I’m about to finish my MDiv. I would never feel comfortable publishing anything that is so obviously written primarily by an LLM. Disappointing. I legitimately feel disrespected as a former fan. No... more
Absolutely. Best episode ever. Serious commentary in re Temple as welcoming venue that mediates social division.
This is a true statement, but is motivated by my desire to not be review-shamed by Tripp the next time we drink beer together.

A thoughtful, academically inclined show that centers interviews with scholars, theologians, and philosophers to explore religion, theology, and the intersection with science, culture, and public life. Recent episodes span astro-theology, historical Jesus study, Christian nationalism, science-religion dialogue, and ethical questions around empire, technology, and mission work, often weaving historical context with contemporary relevance. Notable strengths include deep scholarly rigor paired with accessible storytelling, a penchant for challenging conventional narratives, and guests drawn from theology, philosophy, and religious studies who push listeners to imagine more just, reflective ways of living faith in public life.
