  • Please correct misquote

Hello, I just started listening to the latest episode of Everything Belongs podcast. It begins with Fr. Richard quoting Pope Leo. The quote has been debunked, determined to be fake. I suggest check my assertion, pull that section, pull that section out and re-edit the episode. We are ALL going to need to check and recheck our sources as the fake news attempts are increasing. Once I have heard a fake quote it makes it hard for me to continue listening. It discredits you/Fr Richard. It erodes trus... more

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) & episode 4’s shadow work

For anyone looking for practical ways to meet , befriend, and help shadow parts grow more fully, you may want to look into Internal Family Systems (IFS) or “parts work” originated by Richard Schwartz, Ph.D. I also really enjoyed his book You Are The One You’ve Been Waiting For which outlines this work for couples.

Cohosts talk way too much. It seems it’s a personal therapy session for them sometimes. Mike asks rambling questions that seem self serving. But still great stuff

Unfinished Prophets: Elijah, Jonah, and John the Baptizer
Q: What advice would you give for those who'd rather be lost in contemplation and ignore the plight of those suffering in the world?
We must recognize that reading, listening, and contemplation are not ends in themselves.
Welcoming Holy Disorder with Connie Zweig, Ph.D.
Q: How can we best employ prophetic freedom in our current economic system?
Prophetic freedom allows for the recognition of deep truths amid societal chaos and that charism of prophecy can come freely, indicating it's possible but a gift not easily learned.
Welcoming Holy Disorder with Connie Zweig, Ph.D.
Q: What is the value of disorder and what makes it holy?
It keeps us from the idolatry that order normally becomes, almost always becomes, in any institution, holding it together, worshipping the structure in itself.
The Tears of Things with Pete Enns
Q: What advice do you have for our listeners in learning to read as a journey of growing up?
Recognize hidden judgments in your anger and understand how that connects to wider themes of collective sin and compassion.
Francis with Jon Sweeney
Q: What do you think the life and teachings of Francis have to teach us about following the radical way of Jesus in our lives today?
Every decision, relationship, and action can be a decision to follow Christ, reflecting Francis's high standards of authentic living and commitment to social justice.
