I’ve listened to a lot of episodes of this podcast. The Holy War episode was top tier. I’ve enjoyed all of Monte’s works but this episode was so informative and as always still entertaining. Monte, you’re a gem, so glad to have found your voice.
Damn this show is great. Come for the righteous outrage, stay for the education.
I follow Monte on IG and began listening to episode 1 on an afternoon bike ride. It was a much needed physical self-care activity that turned into something deeper. While I was biking, Monte introduced herself and started speaking about the importance of pacing ourselves, staying healthy and building community while digesting our current situation in America. Monte is smart, motivating and compassionate. She is a powerful anchor in turbulent times and my experience of her and her approach is 100... more
Thank you so much for your very timely voice! You are so good at taking heavy & heady matter and breaking it down in such a digestible way. I’m so glad to support your platform and will continue to do so! Thank you for transmuting your life experiences and trauma and using it to make the world a more beautiful (and educated!) place. Your voice deserves to be amplified! Thank you!
Monte balances eloquence and passion in a way I can only aspire to. I'm not in the US, but appreciate the level of insight I've gained from listening, particularly the ways our countries are alike and how we've ALL ended up where we are now in 2026. Thank you for the great service you do in making history and data and sociological insight accessible. 🖤 #teamnosering

A history- and culture-focused show hosted by a former evangelical who now leans progressive, exploring evangelical deconstruction, current events, and American history through a critical, evidence-driven lens. Episodes center on religious influence in politics, civil rights, gender justice, and how historical narratives shape today's policy debates. A standout thread is an unapologetic commitment to bodily autonomy, anti-extremism, and dismantling Christian nationalist myths, often featuring historical context, personal storytelling, and call-to-action for civic engagement. The mix tends to attract listeners interested in rigorous analysis, social justice, and thoughtful conversations that challenge ideological orthodoxies while staying ac... more
