  • The blurb should read…

“Cultural Commentary From A Republican Baptist Perspective”

Not cultural commentary from a biblical perspective.

If that’s your thing - being a republican Baptist, then this show is probably a five star for you. Cool. Whatevs.

In my opinion- and I am a Christian- there is very little that resembles how a Christian should think about a lot of the things he covers.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Friday, March 27, 2026
Q: How should a young person discern a calling to ministry and what role does mentorship play?
God's calling can be confirmed through objective biblical criteria (e.g., leadership qualifications), counsel from parents and church elders, and recognizing urgent needs in the church as part of discerning a call to ministry.

Q: What does the episode say about grounds for divorce beyond infidelity, such as abandonment or physical abuse?
Biblical allowances for divorce include adultery and abandonment; in cases of ongoing physical abuse, there is a strong argument that continuing to stay could amount to abandonment, and churches should protect victims while maintaining biblical boundaries.
Friday, March 27, 2026
Q: How should Christians think about the deaths of infamous figures like the Ayatollah, Hitler, and Stalin without celebrating their deaths?
The host suggests that while it is appropriate to recognize the removal of a threat as morally satisfying, Christians ought not to celebrate the death of fellow humans and should frame justice as neutralizing a danger rather than personal triumph.
Friday, April 3, 2026
Q: Do you think Thomas' doubt is different from atheistic doubt, and how should believers relate to doubt?
Thomas is affirmed as a believer who dou bts, not as a model of unbelief; his doubt is remedied by encountering the risen Christ, illustrating that believers may wrestle with doubt but are to seek faith through grace, not abandon the faith.
Friday, March 20, 2026
Q: Why are conspiracy theories prevalent on the right, and how should Christians respond when encountering such beliefs, especially those involving antisemitism?
Conspiracy theories arise from a need to explain complex mysteries; Christians should ground their thinking in scripture, honor the truth, resist antisemitism, and engage in honest conversations to connect the dots rightly and carefully.
