  • Wonderful resource, engaging questions, neat research! I especially appreciate the host sharing the way they got interested the interviewee's research. I would like to see the host ask interviewees to note or praise someone else's work who the interviewee is not affiliated with. I would not be able to keep up with the field without this resource. Okay, I hope your day does good. Bye!

Q: What's your background?
I was an AI researcher at Meta for the start of my career, and then I went over to work at Tesla on the autopilot team before exploring startups.
Wuji Hand: What’s Different in Its Design?
Q: What do you think is the most difficult aspect of making a hand that replicates human anatomy?
It comes down to actuation and torque density, as well as integrating effective sensing mechanisms like touch sensing directly into the actuation strategy.
Wuji Hand: What’s Different in Its Design?
Q: What differentiates this hand design from others?
The big differentiation is that because they have no coupled joints, they have full control over everything, which reduces the sim to real gap and avoids the problems associated with tendons.
Algorized: How Can We Sense Humans and Humanoids Safely?
Q: What is the focus of your company with regards to sensing technology?
Our primary focus is on building models that can help robots perceive humans accurately by detecting their vital signs, rather than seeing them merely as objects.
Algorized: How Can We Sense Humans and Humanoids Safely?
Q: How do you see your technology fitting into the robotic safety patchwork?
We need multiple safety systems that can work together, focusing on enabling machines to classify humans accurately to enhance interaction and ensure safety.
