  • . Super bad.

In the beginning, I used to think that 20 VC is an awesome podcast. Not anymore. Take for example, one of the most recent episodes with the fiverr CEO. No content, emotionally, bombastic, full of curses. Not much to learn. Just opinionated people who act like preteen kids… who needs that in 2025?

Update Jan 2026: just getting worse and worse. All big money corporate. Forget 20vc.

  • Remove Jason

Like the show. Rory is great on the weekly market show. Lemkin is awful. Last 3 months all he says is AI replaces people. Guy runs an events business who’s website doesn’t even work🤦‍♂️ probably vibe codes it

  • Terrific guests, poor questions

Whoever int he team sources the guests is doing a terrific job. But the questions are always the exact same (‘what lesson did you learn at…’, ‘what was your childhood like?’, etc) and there is very little genuine dialogue. And the host seems more interested in talking about himself than understanding the guests. Which is a massive missed opportunity.

20VC: Why the SaaS Apocalypse is BS | Why China Will Win the AI War | Why 50% of VCs Should Not Exist and are Tourists | Why Stock-Based Comp is the Hidden Sin of the Valley with Mitchell Green, Lead Edge Capital
Q: Why do you think China could win the AI race?
China's advantages include power infrastructure, access to vast talent, resources, and a culture that accelerates scientific and technological development; this combination could yield faster progress in AI deployment and innovation relative to the West in certain areas.
20VC: Why the SaaS Apocalypse is BS | Why China Will Win the AI War | Why 50% of VCs Should Not Exist and are Tourists | Why Stock-Based Comp is the Hidden Sin of the Valley with Mitchell Green, Lead Edge Capital
Q: How do you think about liquidity and exits in a market with 'casinoized' public markets?
Liquidity windows open and close; to manage DPI, funds should prune positions and return capital to LPs through secondary sales and selective exits, while continuing to back entrepreneurs with potential for future public listings.
20VC: Why the SaaS Apocalypse is BS | Why China Will Win the AI War | Why 50% of VCs Should Not Exist and are Tourists | Why Stock-Based Comp is the Hidden Sin of the Valley with Mitchell Green, Lead Edge Capital
Q: What is the current risk you see for software stocks in the near term?
The risk is that valuations were too high and the market is pricing in growth that may not materialize; however, if a company can demonstrate durable earnings and cash flow, there can be upside as multiples compress and earnings drive stock prices.
20VC: Codex vs Claude Code vs Cursor: Who Wins, Who Loses | Will All Coding Be Automated - Do We Need PMs | The Real Bottleneck to AGI | The Three Phases of Agents and What You Need to Know with Alex Embiricos, Head of Codex at OpenAI
Q: How important is speed for developers when using Codex and in the future of AI code?
Speed is critically important as developers need fast, responsive AI tools to maintain productivity.
Q: Do we need PMs in this world of rapid AI advancement?
PM roles might become less central as engineers and designers could take over many of their functions, especially in smaller teams.
