  • I came across a business website who promised a huge return on investment. I was so convinced. The website was good and after all the convincing, I ended up depositing 150,000 USD, unfortunately, I fell into the wrong hands.

I was really devastated until I sent an email to an expert who came highly recommended - hackerspytech@ gmail com

I gave him all the information about the events, and within a few working days, they restored 85% of my BTC back to my wallet. I was shocked and glad at the same... more

  • Be cautious of online investment platforms, even if they have positive reviews. I trusted similar claims and lost my deposit within days After discovering I had been scammed, I contacted Mrs. Elisa Donovan, who was recommended to me. Through a professional recovery process, she successfully helped recover $150,000 of my funds, with more recovery efforts ongoing. Email: (elisadonovan91 AT GMAIL COM) or WhatsApp +1 769 225-1005 Always research carefully before investing online.

  • I initially invested a total of $105,000 over a period of 5 weeks with my broker. My bonus/profit was $830,000, every attempt to make withdrawal failed and I was instructed to make another deposit of $25,000 before I can make withdrawals which I did. Up till now, I’m still unable to make withdrawals and all attempt to contact broker has failed. This is very pathetic and I felt so bad losing my investment. I did a due diligence test before investing with them but guess what I ended up getting bur... more

  • Josh Kushner episode not for me

People have overhyped this guy so much, I was looking forward to learning something from ‘Josh at Thrive Capital’. Stopped the podcast episode on at least three occasions. My god, if I knew nothing about investing, I would say this episode sounds like two corporate robots parroting to each other isms about jack squat. Still don’t know what Josh has done to achieve whatever has brought this level of hype.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jeremy Giffon - The Billion Dollar PDF - [Invest Like the Best, EP.481]
Q: What advice would you get to founders in thinking about their cap table from the start?
The guest emphasizes maintaining optionality, considering broader paths (not locking into a single up-round), and using a flexible cap table strategy that keeps options open for strategic moves like acquisitions or profitability pivots, while avoiding rigid structures that constrain future flexibility.
John Kim - How to Raise a Few Billion Dollars - [Invest Like the Best, EP.482]
Q: What are the three laws of fundraising that frame your approach?
The laws are differentiation, tradeoffs, and pipeline; track record plus differentiation divided by complexity, plus the strategic management of scarcity and conversion, all working together to move capital.
John Kim - How to Raise a Few Billion Dollars - [Invest Like the Best, EP.482]
Q: When you rename your book, what would you call it and why?
The core idea would stay that fundraising is a way of life built on understanding how people work, but the book could be reframed toward a more explicit focus on how money moves and how trust is built to move it.
Dan Loeb - Lessons from 30 Years of Investing - [Invest Like the Best, EP.475]
Q: What is the hardest investment lesson you've learned?
The FTX collapse was the toughest, teaching the importance of rigorous due diligence, verifying information beyond blockchain claims, and recognizing that venture-like opportunities can fail if the due diligence and counterparty risk are not solid.
Dan Loeb - Lessons from 30 Years of Investing - [Invest Like the Best, EP.475]
Q: How would you describe yourself as an investor?
He sees himself as a credit-originated investor who evolved into a broader, blended approach that includes high-quality growth, activist elements, and a strong emphasis on governance and capital allocation, built on a foundation of risk management and a multi-asset lens.
