Q: So you're a health journalist, Shaun. When did you first hear about Mid Staffs and how does a scandal sort of grow within the earshot of medical journalists?
I always described myself as an accidental health journalist, and my first story about Mid Staffs was written back in December 2007 after hearing a complaint from Julie Bailey about the care of her mother.
