Grief emerged both overtly and subtly in the sessions; participants described a pervasive sense of loss that spanned fertility, identity, safety, and future possibilities, and the program highlighted practical ways to recognize and tend to these feelings while staying connected with community support.

I thought, am I going to go back to doing what I was doing before? Or do I want to do something that I've always had an interest in? And I really just wanted to help others and retrain.

Q: When was it the first time that you thought, oh, maybe in chemotherapy, there is going to be a shift and a decline of my ovarian function?
I think it was during chemotherapy, because that certainly started quite vicious night sweats and symptoms that I had the awareness to identify with menopause.

I'm on a combination of an aromatase inhibitor called Lectrozole and Zoladex injections that I'm taking monthly to keep my ovaries asleep.
