  • Refreshingly mature cannabis conversations.

I first came across Shango Los on YT while searching for content on something specific, but he popped up in suggested videos. I have ADHD (not severe) and usually prefer shorter vids. I was enthralled for over an hour, watched several more vids/ podcasts & really appreciated the credentialed guests & topics, different to the canna related content I’d seen previously. Shango replied to YT comment (forget the question now) & I thought that was cool.

Forgot about the show for several years & just... more

  • Knowledge

This podcast is one of the best, with interesting topics and in-depth discussion.

Hope it keeps going, been a few months since a new episode and good podcasts can fizzle out.

Also want to comment on how well done the ads are. Relevant to the podcast and the lead in is smooth I like the chimes signaling the start. Other podcasts can have annoying ads and they just cut in mid sentence, it’s not a good listening experience.

Q: What do you want new cannabis consumers to understand about outdoor sun-grown versus indoor?
The guest emphasizes that sun-grown cannabis can offer superior flavor and effects when grown properly, but acknowledges regional constraints and the need for consumer education to value terroir, aging, and cultivation methods beyond price and THC alone.
EP127 The Heartland Series: Full Moon Farms with guest Nik Erickson
Q: How do microclimates influence your strains and terpene profiles across locations?
Nik explains that three distinct sites yield different terpene expressions even with the same genetics, demonstrating how coastal versus inland conditions, elevation, and microclimate shift flavor and aroma, guiding breeding and selection.
EP127 The Heartland Series: Full Moon Farms with guest Nik Erickson
Q: What originally drew you to Full Moon Farms and to this line of work?
The host asks about the personal history and driving motivations; the guest describes growing up in the Emerald Triangle, learning from mentors, and the value of regenerative farming and community in establishing a lifelong farming path.
EP126 The Soil Food Web in Practice with special guest Dr. Elaine Ingham
Q: What are your thoughts on stopping water a week before harvest?
It's unlikely to harm the microorganisms, as they will go dormant and not be adversely affected by temporary lack of water.
EP126 The Soil Food Web in Practice with special guest Dr. Elaine Ingham
Q: Are there ways to make cannabis plants feel more at home in environments where they never established themselves?
We're already doing a great job to allow cannabis to grow better even in less than ideal soil conditions, but we need to optimize further to support plant resilience.
