  • Must listen for women who want to understand what men are really thinking about

I love how real these conversations are. Mike creates space for men to talk honestly about healing, emotions, and the parts of masculinity we don’t often hear about. As a women it really helps to understand what men are really thinking and feeling.

Sacred Lessons in Ink with Bryan Ramirez
Q: How do you approach the emotional moments that arise during a tattoo session?
I try to establish a safe space, listen closely, and guide the moment with empathy, aiming to let the person tell their story while keeping the process respectful and grounding.
Sacred Lessons in Power & Patriarchy with Anna Malaika Tubbs
Q: What real-world interventions give you hope for reducing violence and restoring communities?
Programs like Advanced Peace demonstrate that addressing the root causes and needs of individuals who commit violence can reduce harm without defaulting to punitive measures.
Sacred Lessons in Power & Patriarchy with Anna Malaika Tubbs
Q: How do you define patriarchy in lay terms without alienating people who might feel blamed?
The definition centers on a made-up hierarchy that dehumanizes people based on gender, and it harms everyone, including men, by limiting authentic humanity and expression.
Sacred Lessons in Power & Patriarchy with Anna Malaika Tubbs
Q: Why is American patriarchy framed as a universal, long-standing system rather than a set of historic choices by its founders?
Tubbs explains that patriarchy was written into early American documents to preserve power for a specific group, and that recognizing it as constructed allows us to challenge and redesign systems at every level.
Sacred Lessons in Pride with Carlos Guzman
Q: What inspired the creation of Brown N Proud and its evolution from clothing to a movement?
Carlos explains that pride in his heritage began in childhood and that the brand started as a personal expression which gradually resonated with others, turning into a movement focused on culture, healing, and community.
