The only podcast I’ve ever been moved to write a review for! A beautiful retelling of a complicated and misunderstood historical tragedy. Scrivens effectively explores America’s lust for colonialization, even at its own expense. In short, one of the best podcasts out there.
I would have enjoyed this series waaaay more, had it not been for the random giggling/ jokes, unnecessary side stories, and CHIP CRUNCHING (???).. Both narrators were sweet and nice to listen to, I just don’t think the story would have been as long and as many episodes had there not been so much “fluff”.
When this podcast was just Colleen telling the story this podcast was excellent. When it was how we met, giggles, stupid jokes, exclamations and the rest, it was annoying, it was dreadful. I mean who cares, get to the story. I kept fast forwarding but eventually gave up…too bad, this had such potential.
Colleen and Hope do an excellent job of bringing this tragic story to life. Great travelling companions.
What is that like, like annoying banter in the background. I was initially interested in this, but the giggles snd inane conversation was a huge turn off. I can’t continue with this mess,
