wow!! I think i’ve listened to 90% of these seasons but the most recent about the couple lost in the amazon has really peaked my interest! I couldn’t get enough. it felt like I was watching a movie while listening. I have not purchased the book from the actual true story and I can’t wait to read it! job well done!! love love love this podcast
This podcast has been good since its inception-love the variety of survival stories, from the Shackleton’s Antarctic mega story to a fascinating first hand account of a lone survivor in modern Joshua Tree Ntl Park. The dramatization is compelling and not over done. If you live for survival stories, this podcast is a treasure.
Pretty awesome how many stories this series has been able to tell, awesomely put together with immersive audio and dialogue, etc. I do however, strongly prefer Mike’s seasons over Cassie’s. Cassie’s versions of dialogue and attempt at more immersive stuff feels like it kind of falls short. Her performance acting out characters and voices is wildly unconvincing, sometimes almost laughable. The stories are often interesting, I just can’t stand Cassie’s telling of them.
