- Advice not the best
They seem nice and well intentioned but the advice is not very good backcountry advice. I would not recommend All Trails. It is not great. Gaia is much better for mapping and planning. You should always bring a SAR device never rely on your phone. Also, you can do research on Peakbagger and read tons of well informed trip reports. Also I would recommend a navigation course. Nothing beats that to understand moving in the backcountry. Advice is not great.

I really enjoy this podcast! The narrators approach each story in a non-judgmental, almost scientific way. Their calm, professorial tone is a good balance for the often harrowing tales. My only criticism is the jarring breaks for commercials! Yikes!
