I write (in a very different style) regularly for my job, and this podcast reminds me so often that writing is a CRAFT, with strategies, tools, ebb and flow times, etc. L Penelope is honest and shares her own insights and tools, as well as who she looks to in her own writing process. I really appreciate the care she puts into this project!
This podcast follows L. Penelope’s weekly thoughts, plans and experiences on her writing life. She gives lots of great insight into the nuances of writing a book, which I really enjoy.
I really enjoy this podcast.
L. Penelope has a lot of knowledge plus experience as both an Indie and Traditionally published author.
She is honest about the pros and cons of each type of publishing while being optimistic about both.
The presentation style is great, like listening to a friend chat about their life, craft and thoughts.
I love following L Penelope’s journey and career. I learned so much listening to this podcast and she’s just a pleasure to listen to! Always happy to see a new episode popping up every week :)
This is the best podcast I have encountered on the process of writing, publishing, and editing by one of our best contemporary writers. L Penelope pulls back the curtain on everything from world building to drafting to pitching. Rooted in her own processes and experiences, she nonetheless provides innumerable references to other authors, approaches, and resources. It’s also fun, with plenty of pop culture nods and observations on everything from film to politics.
