I hope so, and I'm convinced they will identify the killer at some point, possibly someone they have crossed paths with during the investigation.

It was more of a shared purpose; they understood I wanted to portray their loved ones accurately and compassionately.

I wanted to put a spotlight on the case so that more people could come forward. Many still believe the killer is known among community members.

When I started in New Bedford, I was working in a town, then I quickly became their police reporter. When this case broke, I just moved right into it.

It started in March-April of 1988 when some of the women began disappearing. Between March and September of 1988, 11 women went missing from New Bedford.
